Why checking item restrictions before adding to cart saves time

In brief

Cross-border restrictions vary by item, route and destination. Confirming them early helps avoid warehouse-stage changes.

Items that need extra attention

Food, liquids, medicine, powders, batteries, branded goods and other special categories may be restricted by a route or customs.

These categories do not all receive the same decision. Check the item in the Cainiao App before purchase and rely on the warehouse’s actual review.

It is easier to respond to a restriction before the seller ships than after the parcel reaches the warehouse.

Also review Canadian customs requirements. This guide does not replace the App, warehouse review or government guidance.

When paying international shipping

Actual savings, eligible routes and validity are shown on the Cainiao App checkout page.
