Our editor compiled this guide on September 4, 2026 from the Canada rate page in the Cainiao App. Express air has a reference range of 9–12 business days and economy sea freight 30–40 business days. General goods normally have a shorter reference range than sensitive goods. A reference estimate is not a guaranteed latest-delivery date, however, and passing the range does not automatically trigger compensation.

Delay-coupon and value-compensation thresholds
The time commitment has two levels. The first is a ¥50 shipping coupon after a specified number of business days. The second requires a longer delay and an inability to confirm the parcel’s status before value-and-shipping compensation is considered.
Both air thresholds exclude remote areas. The sea-freight ¥50 coupon threshold also excludes remote areas, while the 65-business-day row says all of Canada. Confirm the postal-code classification and clock-start rule on the current order.

How to read the compensation conditions
The ¥50 benefit is a shipping coupon, not a cash refund. The screenshots do not show its expiry, minimum spend, eligible routes, issue timing or application process, so do not assume it is issued automatically.
More than 35 business days by air or 65 by sea is only one condition. The page also requires that parcel status cannot be confirmed and lists value compensation capped at ¥5,000 plus shipping. It does not promise ¥5,000 for every delay.
A separate loss-and-damage row also lists compensation up to ¥5,000 in goods value plus shipping. Check the current rules for evidence, value documentation and application deadlines.
Delays excluded from the commitment
The screenshots say holidays and delays not caused by the logistics provider do not count toward the commitment. Commitments may also change during major sales such as Double 11 and Double 12; consult current logistics notices.

Choose a route around your deadline
Air is useful when comparing faster options, but it is not a date-certain service. For documents, medication, event supplies or irreplaceable items, first confirm that shipping is permitted and keep a Canadian backup option.
Sea freight better suits non-urgent, larger shipments with flexible timing. When working backward from a deadline, separately allow for seller-to-warehouse delivery, warehouse entry, consolidation wait, cross-border transport, clearance and Canadian final delivery.
- Save screenshots of the order, payment page, chargeable weight and selected route.
- Keep the initial estimate, expected date and later tracking events.
- Check whether the Canadian delivery postal code is classified as remote.
- Open the latest compensation rules and confirm the start event, exceptions and proof-of-value requirements.
